Ludmila + Ben

This photoshoot was born when I thought of a crazy idea. I wanted to do a styled bridal shoot on top of The Second Peak on The Chief in Squamish. At first I wasn’t sure I could pull it off, after all this is a tough 4-5-hour rocky hike and doing it at sunset would mean hiking down in the dark. I was connected with a couple getting married in two months, I knew they would be perfect as they are an adventurous couple, who often goes going scuba diving, mountain biking and travelling together. Ludmila and Ben were very experienced hikers and this hike was one they had done often. We created a team of wonderful vendors, Fern and Moon provided the dress, Bridal Spree the veil and Angela Ohana did an amazing job on the hair. This photoshoot was inspired by connection with nature, this is seen through the earthy tones of Ben’s suit, baby’s breath intertwined into Ludmila’s hair and her being barefoot. I wanted the scene to be very natural and focus on the mountains surrounding them and their love for each other.
